Oh my where did 62yrs come from?Got some 12x12 papers/card, 30 stencil set, 26 pearl threads with 2 silks, 8 blending brushes and a night sky book.Had a pizza cake!Finished off the calm retreat with some watercolours, Wobbly Houses.I did some more of my houses and hearts too whilst I had my paints out.
Needed the hearts as I'd used mine up on my Valentine card for hubby. The last presenter did blobs with watercolours. I think I was well inspired and lined them out as flowers later. The penultimate presenter offered a 7 day art adventure so did 5 of those on my birthday.
Actually used oil pastels as well as watercolours. Love the way she used pens on top of the watercolours. Another feather in my bow in my art journey for sure.
I've ordered myself a watercolour sketch book so I can duplicate my favourites in there.

Happy belated birthday, I think we all wonder where the years have gone, maybe it's an age thing. I've seen that blob painting before it looks like fun, love yours. Happy woyww, Angela x9x
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday, BJ, it looks like you’ve made made the most of it! Your loose flowers are lovely and the blue landscape is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI still remember being on a coach from uni saying ‘20! 20! I can’t believe it!’ This year I’ll be 70 and that seems incredible too. ‘The years just flowed by like a broken down dam’ as in John Prine’s song ‘Angel from Montgomery.’
Happy WOYWW

Lovely birthday gifts, I must say. Are the silk threads for a particular project or stash for when you need beautiful thread? LLJ is brilliant at watercolour ‘blobs’ and pen outlines, I see that you two have the same gift, quite lovely. I’m very fond of house images, love that you keep a few in stock!
ReplyDeleteYAY to Pizza cake! Happy Birthday too. Love the loose-y goose-y flowers, just beautiful And that seascape with the moon is stunning. Happy pre-Skating Comp WOYWW!
