About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog.I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary, plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #868 - Yellow!

Here's my desk last Saturday (nice to see it in action once in a while don't you think?)

A huge thank you to Susan Renshaw for inspiring me last week with her Sunshine and Lollipops page.

I finished off my Advent Journal with it, adding a sewn pocket on the inside cover for my tag and spare wise man.

The lollipops became flowers for me. I used old clean up acrylic papers and added posca pen details. The cut off sun pieces became leaves.

Then made my friend a birthday card on the same lines...

The backing for both of those was using yellow tissue party hats I had stashed.

I then did a spread in my other journal using most of the pieces I had left. The backing this time was yellow acrylic paint with some probably too subtle stenciling.

I have one sun/flower remaining.

The penultimate page in my Advent Journal was another Hope scripture page.

I just went with the flow with this one and am really pleased how it turned out.

I can now report that I'm at last driving again. I worked it out that I hadn't driven for 2 months! My hand is still a bit sore inside but manageable. Whoop Whoop.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

I love your lollipop flowers. They make a lovely card, too. I was taken by your pocket for spare wise men. I think the world could do with a few more of those at present, they could help us be more hopeful as well, like in your beautiful journal page. Great news that you’re driving again.
Happy WOYWW
