About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog.I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary, plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #867 - Photos/Scrapping

Got the reprints of the not so good photos from Photobox this week using their voucher.

I added the ensuing months as well so 256 photos covering July 2025 - Mid January 2026.

They were slightly better but only marginally who knows....

I did the annual page in the little 8x8 album - easier to hold/carry than my 12x12's.

Hand still recovering its strength.

Had son here over night on Monday as we were closer to his works day away venue.

We could have a bit more fun now my hand is a lot better.

Added some pegs to my hand exercise box as my fingers aren't able to get my car into reverse nor release the hand break yet.

Not driven for over 6 weeks - oh my...

Here's the hand - scar still very sensitive to touch despite the deep massage.

It can cope with higher temperatures now though.

Not really wearing the little gloves anymore either, unless it's cold at my desk!

Did make some cushion inners from old pillows.

I tried to cover with son's cut off curtain fabric but the blackout backing made it impracticable.

Made an inner for my cherry stone hotty and a new cover for it and my wheat bag.

Crocheted an angel for my friend - did the dress too wide initially so had to undo it and redo it.

Made my fingers ache a lot.

I did the January Challenge over on JOTW.  My 5 blessings are in capitals.

Three colours - Blue 💙 White 🤍 Grey 🩶

I had a shell from my diecuts - PROVISION

I used some of my stretch bandage for the gauze HEALING

My Scripture is Hebrews 6:19 on my word of the year HOPE, plus SECURE, PERMISSION TO ENTER.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Crikey - how you do it all with such a poorly hand, I am amazed. The final page is a stunner, I love it - and I have seen more pillows (DDs choices for flat decor) I am full up. AND I still have 4 forms left to cover. She will be all pillows, no sofa soon :D Enjoy your son, and heal up soon. Happy WOYWW!

You’ve heard really quickly I think and the scar is looking very healthy - keeping it active like you have is a great idea. Re fabric sources, I use a few online site - Doughty’s Fabric, Pound Fabrics, Oh Sew Crafty, Fabrikate and for really lovely (but not cheap) options then pili pala fabrics have some beautiful and very tempting offers. Happy hunting!

We’re all agreeing, you’re getting on with your life despite the healing hand, that scar is looking good, hope it carries on on the best healing direction! The new covers are in a very pretty fabric. Lovely to have your boy home for even a brief overnight, isn’t it lively that he opted to do that rather than stay or trundle hime.

Good morning, BJ
Good to hear you are healing nicely. Always a slow process. Your son has your smile.
Take your time jumping in to things. Everything happens in its own time.

ooh fair play on the hand exercises, I know how frustrating it can be (as I have RA my hands sometimes dont behave) but hand exercises do help, as you say, does take a long time though! You have been busy though, Kyla
