About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (currently a year behind!), plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #847 - Jonah Bonuses

Here's a treat for you all, my desk in action!

Just trying to make a fish stamp as per the next Jonah Bonus Lesson.

Truth be told it is nearly midnight Tuesday and only just remembered to do my post!

Here's a shot of the other side of my desk with the base collage for a journal page..

You can see my trusty air-con unit which has had yet another outing the past couple of days.

It's been a funny week, hot again, depressed, then back to my Bible watercolours, Journal and Jonah...

I did a couple of Bible Watercolours based on a talk we had in church a few weeks ago.

Realised I didn't have anything in the book of Song of Songs, so now I have.

I did a journal page earlier in the week when I was feeling pretty low.

Used up some black and white florals/foliage I'd made previously.

So to Jonah... I did the cover page in my back inside cover and am going to work backwards..

The Jonah summary page next. watercolour on gesso. This was simple and fun to do.

Looks like I'll get my post done for midnight too. Horrah

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

So sorry to hear that last week was oe where you suffered a bit. Hope the nidnight crafting has helped a little and you brighten up before we meet at Sarahs Craft Shed again next week. Maybe Jonah will help.
Love that first journal page - the colours are beautiful together, you'll have to let me know what they were.
Take care and try to go up rather than down.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

I'm just pleased I'm not the only one that's playing at midnight, don't like all the heat during the day but sometimes forget what time it is which is not good for sleep paterns. However, I love the scrap book so much fun and the stamp you're making. Happy woyww with hugs Angela x9x

How did your hands cope with the stamp making? I found it needed more strength than I have got! Great Bible pages and journals pages. Love those colours together . Hugs Angela #11

Beautiful journals pages, BJ. The chevron is made by the combination of TC3 together at the start and end of the row and the 2TC, ch2 2TC into the 2 chain space 2 rows below.
I did a translation of the 3 rows from US to UK crochet terminology for Jan; if you’d like a copy, send me an email to Lmcollis(at)iCloud.com and I’ll send it to you.
Have a good week, hugs, Lynnecrafts 8 xx

Fabulous pages as ever BJ. Clarity's Pond Fish stencil would have been really useful for you but your linocut stamp looks brilliant. I am celebrating my first official day of retirement by visiting desks as the weekend and last week were rather manic. Stay safe and Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah
