About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #809 - Advent Week 1

Advent is upon us the tree has been bought and erected but I've opted to craft instead!!! Oopsey.

Had a lovely box of happy mail yesterday, quite bowled over. From Twiglet/Jo just "a few bits" to get me going on needle felting.

Well it looks more like a start up kit to me.

Such a cutey little card too.

So completely touched.

Here's last month's pages to finish off my November concertina journal, just one to go for the year's worth now...

Day 27 - homage to the film JOY which was brilliant.

Day 28 - somewhere to include another of my Zen Retreat items.

Day 29 - who doesn't like butterflies?

Day 30 - using more bits and pieces up.

So to the Advent crafting...

The December journal made from old Christmas cards and papers.

The Zen tab journal that I added 4 more pages to so I'd have 25 sides.

The Advent Bible Journaling challenges. Nothing like immersing myself in the Word and being creative at the same time.

Day 1 -  from left clockwise (A) (B) & (C)

(A) The 30 day She Sketches Scripture challenge.... with a daily sketch which I'll watercolour in my Bible. I believe it is free to join until January 2025.

Day 2 - from left clockwise (A) (C) (F) (E) & (B)

(B) A 12 day freebie printable if you grab it in the 8hrs it's available from Eshet Chayil Bible Journaling. I'm doing these in my daily December journal.

Day 3 - from left clockwise (A) (D) (C) & (B).

(C) The 25 Advent Words words for Advent chosen by Jenna Burne Art Journaling I'm doing these in my Zen Retreat tab journal which I extended for the 25 days.

(D) Devotion In Action has just started a 12 day series called Sparkling Advent

(E) My monthly Bible Journaling Ministries page

(F) My monthly Faith Inspirations page

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

I love your journal pages. So many beautiful pieces. My cork brush rest has half a cork on the back so the brushes lie along the grooves, tilting down so the water doesn’t collect in the ferrules. Enjoy your Tilly Tea dance happy mail!
Take care and happy WOYWW

Ooooh! Felting! That's so much fun, although I haven't done it for years! Your concertina book is gorgeous, I love those final pages. I can understand how you must love working with your faith in your journals, a real immersion! Have a lovely week, Lindart #12

I do hope you enjoy your needlefelting journey. Is it a scene you are thinking of making or is it something like a figure of some kind.? I just cannot get the hang of the figures, need some help there but somewhere i have some scenic dumfing that I have tried in the past.
Good luck and thanks for all the goodies you shared today.
Hugs, Neet xx

Ah Wipso and Twiglet are such lovely ladies. I so enjoyed chatting with them at the last crop. How kind of them to share.. Love the journal pages - I am always amazed by the variety and love the bits&pieces style so much. The Advent one looks so much fun! I'm enjoying the AJA. challenge but it's such a busy time I fear I may not complete it! I hate that...
SO late for WOYWW!
