WOYWW #795 - Scrapping too

Here's my desk a tad untidy, shock horror!

I had a dying session in the week and the cards of ribbons and rags are hanging below my bottom shelf. Love the bright colours from Dylusions inks.

I finished sewing the ribbons to the rings for church, to be used by the children during worship. I worked with what I had and made rainbows with the colours.

My Bible Journaling watercolour page for this week was of John, the disciple that Jesus loved. It's week 8 of the witness series by Devotion in action

I've done a few scrappages this week.

Firstly a double page of our trip to Ikea and the building of the new bed for our son's room/spare room.

Secondly various Christmas preparations.

Thirdly the funeral of our nextdoor neighbour. She'd been our neighbour since we moved in over 24 years ago and had lived there since the seventies. Sadly missed.

Then to the journal

Day 21) a page with 4 tag slots on the right side.

All the images are from the Nahum 1:4 kit from Bible Journaling Ministries

The 4 tags, days 22-25

The rest of the steampunk Nahum 1:4 images on the front of the tags...

...and various things which took my fancy on the back .

Day 26) an attempt at the last (week 4) of Seek Gather Create - not my best moment.

Items to include were A window, the colour green, something blurry and a repeating pattern.

Day 27) Another fabulous image from Fussy Cuts Freebies

I was much happier with this page despite doing it quickly before dancing last night. I had prepped the image with a coat of glue the day before though but it hadn't worked with the page then.

Just 4 more days with this month's journal and wondering what to do for next month now???? Any Suggestions Welcomed.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

  1. Gosh I never know where to begin. You know I love the tags and the beautiful hand-dyed ribbon is stunning. Your journal pages always inspire and I love the SGC page most. How well you did to use up what you have for the ribbon rings. Bet the kids will love them!
Hoping for a better desk-hop day this week!

  7. I always think you use the loveliest colours in whatever you do - even the funeral page isn’t sombre. The ribbon hoops are a delight and I do love a tag, they’re fab!

  8. I'm sure no one will mind an untidy desk, I worry more when I see a tidy one as I think the owner must be ill Lol! Happy woyww, Angela x10x

  9. In the early days I mussed up my desk to make it untidy, how times change. I like to see a tidy one now and then.
As always I go first to your Bible page and once again it does not disappoint. Lovely painting of John today.
The rainbow colours are lovely for the ribbons used by the children during services and the scrap pages are lovely - love the one making a bed up from Ikea.
Your tags are fabulous, very eye catching and beautifully made.

  11. I've never tried hand dying ribbon - yours turned out so beautifully! I love the tags, both sides, and the pocket with the girl on it - gorgeous! If you haven't already googled pickleball, it's kind of a cross between tennis and ping pong, using a smaller court than tennis, larger paddles than ping pong, and a wiffle ball (the ones with holes). It's great for seniors, not a lot of running, but active enough to get a good workout! Sorry I'm so late, have a lovely week, Lindart #14
