I forgot to mention last week started with the sad news that a friend had died suddenly.
She was only a year older than me, but I sort of put it on hold until after my birthday and second reading session then it hit me!Been quite tearful since then and now I'm so tired I'm not going dancing (writing this Tuesday evening instead). I made this sympathy card for the family.
I got the little "Joyful Journal" book for my birthday and am enjoying filling it in, it's very therapeutic.
One of my Bible Journaling Groups had an online retreat this week but I just couldn't coordinate myself to attend.I managed to download the printables and printed a selection yesterday, along with the sketches for the Lent Water Colour Bible Journaling - Journey to Jesus.
I used some items on my scripture card this week, the hearts and tags. #scripture52And I finished off my Journal pages on the 4 types of love in the Bible.
Agape - God's Selfless Love for us
Eros - Romantic love
Philia - Brotherly Love
Storge (STORjay) - Family Love
Loving my white POSCA pen I got for Christmas, first type of white pen to work consistently for me in ages.I guess that is me this week. Amazed I had the energy to even type this today.
So sorry to hear about your friend. It is strange how this can affect you and it can take a long time to come to terms with them not being around. Don't ask how I know! Be kind to yourself and when the time is right you will return to all the events that happen normally in your life. Be kind to yourself.

That’s such a shock about your friend, grief affects everyone differently so you just have to do what gets you through. The heart on the stone seems very apt, it’s a lovely pattern and the Posca pen has done its thing really well.
ReplyDeleteI hope you read ‘purest green’ in Lord Percy’s voice, I did when I wrote it!!
Hugs LLJ 3 xx
I'm so sorry about your friend, it must have been a terrible shock. I can only echo what Jan and Neet have said about being kind to yourself and taking things gently. The pebble is beautiful and the heart really suits it. Posca pens are great aren't they, I haven't found anything to better them yet, although I'm always on the look out!

Love your stone heart, just perfect after losing your friend. TAke time to grieve and ignore what others say . . . grief can be a very long job.
ReplyDeleteHave a peaceful week

Aw B-J so sorry to hear about your friend, knocks you for six doesn't it? My best friend - I'd known her since school - died just before she was 60 and that hit me very hard. I'd thought we'd be outrageous pensioners together. Grief is also love, and a testament to your friendship but I hope you find some comfort soon. I was glad to hear you liked your birthday card. Have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx
