WOYWW#651 - Heavenly Host

Not much has changed from last week other than the paperclipped pages of my Hebrew have moved into an A4 File as they were getting out of control. I've very nearly mastered the Hebrew consonant Aleph-Bet and decided not to move on until I'm more proficient at that.

Hand/wrist, plus arm exercises continue. My Hand Therapist is happy that I'm progressing but I'm not to try badminton for at least another 4 weeks, as my wrist continues to hold me back with it's unusual presentation post-op.

Saying that, I've raked the garden leaves, cleaned some windows, vacuumed the house, put the bins out, trimmed my orchids, used my sewing machine, ironed a few things, driven to church and made dinner so realistically I am nearly back to normal. Wrist is sore still and I've had some sharp pains in my thumb but all in all not bad at all.

So to the ANGELS.

I think the crochet is jolly good gently exercise for my wrist and goes some way to stop me munching whilst watching TV of an evening! I've now done 10 Angels and they have been gathering around the fireplace (except the blue one which my son has).

I have done a gold one but the yarn is difficult and I prefer the white ones. Not sure how many more I'll get out of the single ball of fine white yarn I have. I did have a look at my stash but not any more to be found as yet. I have white DK yarn but I guess they would turn out slightly bigger. Hmmm???

Maybe I'll do some scrapping next week, maybe not. But either way I need to order some more photos as I'm near the end of the last batch.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

WOYWW#650 - Biblical Hebrew & Angels

Oh my, this week has taken a bit of a turn....not quite sure what happened, but I have dug deep into learning Biblical Hebrew!

It's been mulling in the background for some years and I was led to a study plan on the YouVersion Bible App called Three Words From The Creation - Biblical Hebrew and Your Life.

It contained a web link (which didn't work btw) but this inspired me to look some more and there is a wealth of stuff on YouTube and the Web so I got stuck in.

I posted this on Facebook last Thursday so that's when this all got started.

NOTE:-  I have also been following the angel crochet pattern Jan kindly shared last week too. If I even get around to making any Christmas cards thought I might pop one in.

Made a blue one for my son on request, and another 2 white ones since my first too.

My main reason for trying them in the first place was to test out my right hand to see if the Carpal Tunnel Surgery has worked, and pleased to say it passed the test no problem.

My left hand only went a bit tingly on one angel, but left hand only does the "holding" rather than the "doing" so that was OK. Not sure at this stage whether I'd ever have the left one done as well as I am still struggling with a few things.

My right hand is certainly NOT fully functional yet at 8 weeks. The scar on my palm is still very sore and tight and I cannot extend my wrist or thumb very well. My wrist continues to hurt mainly when handwriting which is a bind with the Hebrew Script. Seeing my Hand Therapist again on Thursday.

But I can CROCHET again - Yippee!!!

WOYWW#649 - One of those Moments.

Here's my desk earlier this week when everything just came together for a LO. I still managed 5 photos.

It was a moment when dies just jumped off the shelf begging to be used.

Then I did a simple page of 6 of hubby's landscapes.

He is much more interested in the photos than what I do with the page, so he just got titles!
Earlier still I did a couple of pages where the colours were based on the month word (MAY) I had just cut from an old calendar.

I got to showcase all the lower case "h's" I have from my 16 Alphabet sets in the hearing test page.

Finally a Garden in May page with 9 photos no less.

Then a tribute to a family friend's son who tragically died back in June at 21yrs. We live nextdoor to his Grandma and had known him since he was days old. He was 7 months younger than my son, so they grew up together. I met him first "over the wall" and last saw him when we all played badminton.  I'm still shedding tears for such a beautiful soul to leave us so soon.

WOYWW#648 - November Dawns

Hi Guys, I think October was a bit of a wash out for me post operatively. Weeks 3 and 4 post-op were quite traumatic. If you want to see my wound progression over 5 weeks have a look at my post from last week HERE.

I have managed to get some crafting done since last week so here I am back to show you all.

First my desk with the last page from April 2021. Was getting a bit bored with my same old 4 photo layouts so Googled some sketches and one is on my desk.

My favourite one was this one though, worked out really well methinks.

Previous to that were, chair to bench upcycling and setting a few geocaches in the local woods.

And of course my pond planting and prodding.

Scar is really sore and hypersensitive so I made up a book of different fabrics to stroke it with. Desk is a Hand Gym as I'm seeing a Hand Therapist trying to get my movement back. I can sew again without my hand going numb though which is most definitely a plus.

Wrist is really sore today as I probably did a bit too much yesterday as I'm back to driving at last. Typing is difficult so I'll stop here.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.
