Hubby is turning 65yrs on Friday so had to make him a card, it's inspired from our Geocaching walks. We strolled through a beautiful meadow last weekend, there were loads of delicate wildflowers.
Oh and I got an MDF clock face which I have just gessoed for now, not sure what to do next.
Even just painting that much brought on my Carpal Tunnel Numbness and Pain. I've finally spoken to my GP and waiting for a referral now to sort that. In fact just typing this post is making my hand tingle.... Oh my!
I have done some solo dancing classes and we are back at badminton and I have started helping at our church's new Baby Group, Tiddlers so food shopping is now on a Wednesday. So not all nothingness in the past 11 weeks...
And for the record my pond has exploded, not literally just vegetation wise. Still no frogs though.
Will catch up after Asda.......
Happy WOYWW Everyone
I didn't realize you had carpal tunnel. Sorry to read that. Your card to your husband is beautiful. Regardless of the fact the gesso brought pain to your hand, that image/photo of the clock face is wonderful. Happy WOYWW from # 12.
ReplyDeleteYour pond looks like it's thriving, amazing how things just happen in a short amount of weeks. I hope the frogs soon make it their home.
ReplyDeleteHubbies card looks fab, wishing his all the best on his special Birthday, hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Take care Happy WoywW Tracey #1 x
The pond looks very happy with all its greenery, it definitely won’t be long before some little friends move in! I think your husband’s card was really lovely, the idea was very clever!

Sorry to hear about the pain in your hands. My daughter is suffering terribly at the moment, I hope both of you can get some help with them. It’s probably a bit late to go looking for tadpoles, but if you are not visited by frogs then next year go in search of tadpoles, check there are damp areas in your garden for the frogs to go. A great card for your husband. Happy WOYWW Angela #7
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you BJ but sorry you've in such pain with the carpel tunnel. I hope you can get some help... Love hubby's card, it seems perfect. Good to hear you're back at various activities. Enjoy! Helen #11
ReplyDeleteI’ve had both wrists alleviated from Carpal tunnel, talk about getting your life back! Hope the referral is quick, there really is only one solution, took my sister ages to go to her GP and now she regrets waiting! strange aren’t we! My neighbour has a lovely pond like yours but most of the frogs and toads live in a shady spot in our garden…well within reach of the pond but not actually in it all the time!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated WOYWW. Hope you get some treatment for your Carpal Tunnel soon. I do get some pain/stiffness in my hands/wrists due to my Fibromyalgia, and I can't hold a pen/pencil/brush for too long - but it is worse in my feet. I have to craft for short periods and make sure I keep warm. Ali x #15
ReplyDeleteLove the cards you made - there's nothing like new stash to get the mojo going again is there. The card for your hubby is beautiful, the flowers are just so lovely and I can imagine how glorious the real meadow must have been - I hope you have a lovely day celebrating.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your Carpel Tunnel referral soon, I've had both done and it's made such a difference.
Hope you have a great week,

ReplyDeleteHi again, thanks for your visit to mine. Regarding the Carpel Tunnel, I had the first one done over 20 years ago, it was an absolute breeze and I was fine and using it properly within about 7 weeks. The second one I had done in August 2019 and because I was older and have other health issues it took longer to heal and I ended up having a series of ultra sound treatments about 6 weeks after I had it done. It probably took about 12 weeks to feel fully normal with it. I will say that the pain levels with both were easily manageable and certainly wouldn't put me off having it done again. My sister was told she would be able to drive after 6 weeks and that definitely wasn't the case, it was more like 9 or 10 weeks. We both found that a few certain movements were still slightly troublesome a few months later. Hope that helps a little.

ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late this week just got a bit distracted. I hope you find a good way of sorting the Carpal Tunnel. I had some work done on mine but still get Numbness and pins and needles sometimes. Have a happy belated woyww, Angela x23x
ReplyDeleteI'm running a little late this week. Sorry to hear about your carpel tunnel and hope you get referred and treated very soon as I understand how incredibly painful it can be. Happy belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe, with love & God bless, Caro xxx (#29)
ReplyDeleteI love your wildflower meadow birthday card, BJ. So sorry to hear that you are suffering with carpal tunnel syndrome, and I do hope they will be able to sort it out for you. It must be most uncomfortable, and also very frustrating when you want to do things! Your pond certainly has taken off! It's amazing how fast the plants grow.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,
