I was fortunate enough to have been her SWAP partner back in 2017. So my tribute is the ATC I received from her.
My heart goes out to her husband Doug and their wider family.
As for my desk, it has had quite a few guises the past week or so...
1) I grabbed three sheets of 12x12 I wasn't likely to scrap with (as prompted by another desker) and made myself a little 6x6 journal. I bound it using saddle stitch. I am using it as a journal for my 21 day "Grateful Heart" Bible Study.2) After ordering a whopping 347 prints which covered 2020 from Photobox. I looked them up on Facebook and found a video on a photo box so I made my version for hubby for Valentine's. And a tag for his wine bag.3) Then I had a 2 hour messenger chat with a crafty friend where I diecut lots of items to make up some cards. And then my birthday - phew what a week.
SO true BJ. Love your projects this week. Enjoy working with all those photos as you work your way through 2020. Stay safe. Sarah #6

Oh my, those words at the end couldn’t be more perfect for today, thank you so much for that. I love that everyone is sharing their different experiences of Shaz, she was a great crafter and genius enabler! I will always think of her when I see Lavinia stamps!

My goodness, 347 prints will keep you busy for years! I have several of Shaz's ATCs as well and will treasure them forever. Lovely card with those die-cuts - and happy belated birthday! If I remember correctly quite a few of us are having birthdays in Feb/Mar - mine's a few weeks away. Love the quote you ended your post with - so true! Hope you have a good week. xx zsuzsa #31
ReplyDeleteHi BJ. Oh my - 347 prints! That sure is a run of layouts you are going to be doing to celebrate 2020! Well done on all that you have achieved this week - and how many different faces your desk has achieved. A lovely tribute to Shaz.

Goodness you have been busy!! And you'll be even busier with all those photos to scrap. I must do an order myself. The beach in Wales is at Newport in Pembrokeshire. We've had a family house there for years but we put it on the market a couple of weeks before covid arrived! Much love on this difficult day, Lisa-Jane #7
ReplyDeleteBJ, loved your thoughts at the end of your post! And so true! I love your ATC from her as well! What a treasure for your memory!! Wow, like others, I'm thinking that is a lot of photos. But to be sure, I bet I have that and them some that if I printed out, would be enough photo paper to float a boat! LOL I haven't printed photos in years. They are all downloaded onto CD's. I need to print them out or convert them over to mini drives or I will be in a mess in a few short years! Beautiful cards and I know the receiver will enjoy!! Have a blessed Wednesday and rest of your week! Felicia #34

Those last words are lovely indeed and an ATC to treasure x Angela #21
ReplyDeleteWow, that’s a photo for every day last year! Sopping amount of scrapbooking to come then, how marvellous! Great idea for the little journal, they aren’t difficult to make are they. I’ve made a few and added pockets to the pages to hold my die cuts etc. Pleased with their accessibility I must say. Lovely words about the loss of Shaz, helpful to keep us looking in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteA very busy week!
ReplyDeleteThat poem at the end is what I read out at my Mum's funeral...

Lovely projects you've been working on this week, BJ, and a lovely tribute to Shaz. Your words at the end are particularly touching. How we shall miss her. I am so glad Doug has agreed to keep up her blog so we can still go there and celebrate all that she was and all that she gave.
ReplyDeleteHave a god week.
