Oh look what I got.
A diecut folder with refills and some Wildflower dies from Tim Holtz.
I made the ATC on Christmas Eve in the early hours inspired by a desk I saw here last week.
I made the bigger journal page on Christmas Day as somewhere to put my new diecuts.
I'd scavenged the Christmas cracker sparkly card to cut them from.
Oh and look who was on my desk before wrapping...
And I can't forget the Christmas Baubles I got from church too, Hope, Joy, Love and Faith.
Hope you all had a super Christmas.

WOYWW #446 - Eventually
Here's my desk this morning empty and forlorn, after the day before where there was some activity of the altering kind.
I added a loop to a tea-towel.
I made short sleeves out of a top where I'd worn through the elbow and
I shortened the straps on my new party dress which I wore out last night.
Here are the cards I made to go in my spare envelopes last week.

WOYWW #445 - Christmas Crafting!
Yes, it happened this week. I needed to make some cards for my on-line craft groups SWAP for Christmas. The theme being Animals/Birds @ Christmas. So I did....
I used my Tim Holtz Reindeer Flight Die, some torn hand made papers and some old music score.
I inked lots of the edges and got very inky fingers in the process - yay!
I topped with copper stickles.
That's my desk in the week with all the bits ready to go.
And here are the 9 cards I made.
I used the miscut dies and bits and pieces left over to make the journal page as a reminder.
I also made a second penguin card.
So 11 cards made this year!
You might have noticed the card blanks on my desk. I got out any spare envelopes and made up card blanks to fit and these will be for my church friends.
As for the rest of the Christmas cards, I bought those back in January this year and have even written the ones which needed posting and posted them this week too, Go me!

WOYWW #444 - Bills, Scrapping, and Christmas
Still no Christmas crafting, just a few bills to pay and the glasses adorn my desk...
I did do some scrapping of some March photos which have been sitting pending on my desk for weeks!
And here's the Birthday Card I can now show you all.
So for my Christmas contributuion, I now have a tree and have decorated the house too.
PS This is rather late as I slept in somewhat, then had to race to get up and ready for Harp lesson, then a neighbour came round about cars and learner driver insurance advice, then I needed to take son's car on weekly run about, after a quick lunch, then neighbour came round to try son's car........ need I say more!

WOYWW #443 - Threes
The only thing on my desk this week is the swap card I received from the lovely Cindy on the theme of Threes.
On the back of my chair my apron from the Tim Holtz workshop back in 2013. Need to keep that handy in case I ever do any crafting of the messy kind. Just any crafting would be good at the moment though - LOL.
And now I can reveal one of the birthday cards I made last week as it's the fine lady's birthday TODAY.
Happy Birthday Elizabeth (fellow WOYWWer so allowed to shout it LOL)
Foot News - There was nothing the Surgeon could see wrong with my bones, tendons or nerves, not even any wear and tear, so I saw a Podiatrist yesterday and had my feet cast for some new orthotics. The bones across my foot are lying flat when they ought to be curved/domed upwards so a triangular pad ought to put this right. My current orthotics are generic half ones which don't address this problem.

WOYWW #442 - Cards / Number Dies
Well here's my desk and have to say not a tad of festive ambience! Unless you count the fairy lights round my screen!
I have made some required birthday cards.
A couple for my Craft group (so they will have to wait for showing properly)
A couple for some young lads.
Also the SWAP card I made on the theme of "Threes"
Yep I love my big number die set from Sizzix, jolly useful for a "number" of occasions LOL.
My next scrap pages await inspiration under my Bible Study books. And as everything fell off my shelf the other day I kept down my "Art Journal Freedom" book in the hope that I get inspired.
Well that's it for this week. My foot consultant appointment was postponed from Monday to this afternoon so no news there yet.

WOYWW #441 - MRI & March Scrapping
The scrapping continues although not that much as I've had a nasty cold this past week.
Sorry for not replying to most of you last week, only just coming out of the haze, will try better this week.
I've started March and was determined to use the "March" paper I was gifted a few weeks ago.
Did a bit of jiggery pokery with the photos, date wise, to get some meaning to the pages. First one is of a couple of geocaching days. Second one is various facets of the garden throughout March. More geocaching adventures are lined up to do next.
Had a crafty visitor in the week and she gave me the die cuts.
Also I had my MRI on Monday (postponed from Friday as I was just too poorly then). I should have the results by next week, here are a couple of the images from the CD they gave me. Scary eh!

WOYWW #440 - Magazine, Sprouts & Curtains.
Here's my desk today sporting a magazine with Penguin die freebie I just had to have plus the card I made using them.
In the foreground is the scan of my toes. The doctor concentrated on where I had the pain and counted out the small neuroma which is elsewhere but couldn't identify the actual problem so I might need an MRI.
This is the Sparkle SWAP card I was making last week, and the facing page to my birthday one to finish off February.
My desk on Saturday produced my lost SPROUTS. Well the wrappers from the chocolate sprouts I'd got my son for last Christmas. Couldn't fit them on that page now so made a tag to fit behind the page.

The day started in brilliant sunshine and ended with the lining replaced in my husband's curtains.
So a varied week on my desk. Next scrap page photos are out as usual and will get done anon. I have a horrid cold so crafting will be the best thing for me today so I can rest a bit.

WOYWW #439 Scrap & Sparkle
Here's my desk late Tuesday Evening. In the middle of being SWAP fairy but then had badminton so the desk will be like this Wednesday morning too.....
Got my sparkle card out, my Bible Study books are on top of my next set of photos. The scissors are for some sewing I have to do later so I'll have to clear up for the sewing machine.
And I'm seeing a surgeon about my foot today too. All go here.
But 2017 scrapping has begun at last!
Had a few dissociated photos for January but, by a serendipitous moment, when putting my scrap gift away, a spotty 12x12 page with a circle cut out landed over my photos and eureka that got me going.
There's me and hubby geocaching in the sunshine on 2nd and then snow 10 days later!
The second page was a little harder, but I eventually did it.
Hubby cycling with a friend, the pheasant which popped into our garden and the embroidery floss I was gifted via the now defunked streetlife.
I have done a double layout of my friend's son over his first 5 months but can't really show it on here.
My latest LO is of my 53rd Birthday back in February!

WOYWW #438 - Scrapbook Albums
A crafty friend gifted me some 12x12 Scrapbook Albums and they were delivered yesterday.
My desk is the result of sorting my next album out with extra pages and strips of spine fillers. Good job I had some spare posts too. Will need to order a job lot of refill pages for my new albums now.
There were lots of papers and bits and bobs in the parcel too plus a 12x12 template which I am dying to use.
Earlier in the day I had sorted my next batch of photos which take me now into 2017 - Horrah.
Later I sorted my new albums and refills as I like 30 pages (60 LOs) in each of my albums and the next one will be my 14th album!

My bed gets used a lot for such things but I have to sort it out for bedtime, hence the dumping ground on my desk currently.
My last LO for 2016 is of my husband's and son's trip to the beach when we were visiting my Mum last Christmas.
Sadly I couldn't go with them as Aunty Flow had taken hold and walking anywhere was a no go area.
Talking of health, Aunty Flow has NOT been to visit since the end of August and I'm having lots of Hot Flashes (spot fan in photo, I have that on all night and the window open!) The flashes are mostly at night so there is hope that things are changing for the better. I will embrace the Hot Flashes if I am relieved the Periods I can tell you.
So the only other thing to dampen my demeanour at present is that I now have a Morton's Neuroma in my left foot. I believe it has been there for years but since the Summer it has become quite painful. It is OK, day to day but Badminton and my recently refound Ballroom Dancing are becoming quite difficult. My GP has referred me to an Orthopaedic Surgeon since having had an x-ray but had to wait 6 weeks for the ultrasound, so no idea how long I will have to wait now...
Life's rich tapestry I suppose.
