WOYWW #438 - Scrapbook Albums

A crafty friend gifted me some 12x12 Scrapbook Albums and they were delivered yesterday.

My desk is the result of sorting my next album out with extra pages and strips of spine fillers. Good job I had some spare posts too. Will need to order a job lot of refill pages for my new albums now.

There were lots of papers and bits and bobs in the parcel too plus a 12x12 template which I am dying to use.

Earlier in the day I had sorted my next batch of photos which take me now into 2017 - Horrah.

Later I sorted my new albums and refills as I like 30 pages (60 LOs) in each of my albums and the next one will be my 14th album!

My bed gets used a lot for such things but I have to sort it out for bedtime, hence the dumping ground on my desk currently.

My last LO for 2016 is of my husband's and son's trip to the beach when we were visiting my Mum last Christmas.

Sadly I couldn't go with them as Aunty Flow had taken hold and walking anywhere was a no go area.

Talking of health, Aunty Flow has NOT been to visit since the end of August and I'm having lots of Hot Flashes (spot fan in photo, I have that on all night and the window open!) The flashes are mostly at night so there is hope that things are changing for the better. I will embrace the Hot Flashes if I am relieved the Periods I can tell you.

So the only other thing to dampen my demeanour at present is that I now have a Morton's Neuroma in my left foot. I believe it has been there for years but since the Summer it has become quite painful. It is OK, day to day but Badminton and my recently refound Ballroom Dancing are becoming quite difficult. My GP has referred me to an Orthopaedic Surgeon since having had an x-ray but had to wait 6 weeks for the ultrasound,  so no idea how long I will have to wait now...

Life's rich tapestry I suppose.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

  1. give how debilitating you found Aunty Flow, I think the foot would be preferable... but possibly not! Hope it gets checked out soon. Well done on nearly catching up with your scrapping. Helen #1

  4. Thank you for this posting - had a problem with my foot for years, unfortunately the student I saw at the hospital told me I had a 'lump' and just needed some treatment like adding a 'lump' to my shoe!! Upon looking up Morton's Neuroma it appears to be the same as my lump and changing shoes seems to help - one day trainers, one day shoes, one day boots etc.
So pleased I visited you today!! Hope your Morton's is eased soon.
Those scrapbooks will keep you busy, enjoy.

  5. To be honest, if you can walk without unending pain, I think you might have to be very patient....six weeks for a scan is good going in these parts! Lovely LO, lots of photos on there. I did one double LO and 15 singles at the weekend. Loved it. I will show them, but mostly use them as 'decoy' photos when I don't have subject relevant ones! The scrapbooks and kit were a very generous gift weren't they, how lovely. I use the D ring albums and overfill them hilariously....we are complete opposites as scrappers!!!

  6. Hi BJ, Love the Lo. All those albums are going to keep you out of mischief:)

Glad Aunt Flow is behaving. My doctor told me it can take 7 years or more. So in other words he didn't know:)

Hope they can sort your foot out quickly.

    Happy WOYWW

  8. What a fabulous gift from your crafting friend - those lovely albums and papers were very generous you lucky thing. I can sympathise with the hot flashes - mine aren't so bad at night but I've had some terrible ones while out and about in public - it affects my head mainly, and suddenly my hair is soaking and I'm bright red - nice!! Hopefully it won't last too long for either of us, fingers crossed!
    Have a great week,

  9. What a lovely package you've received! I really like your beach layout - it looks like the kind of layout I used to do with lots of photos - it makes me want to get back to scrapbooking. I'm dreading the menopause - I've heard so many horror stories about it. As if we women haven't suffered enough in our younger years - nature just has to give us this additional hassle when we get older. As if it was done on purpose, just to spite us LOL! Hope your feet gets better soon - we all have aches and pains, but they tend to come and go - your condition sounds like it might need treatment. Enjoy your week despite the niggles! zsuzsa #18

  12. Look out what you wish for dear... I was happy to swap the period for hot flashes but after 10 years of sweating & dripping all day and changing sheets (and t-shirts) at night I'm pretty tired of it ALL!!! I do hope your phase will not take that long and be easy on you (I heard it's a hereditary thing.. how did your mom's menopause go?) The things on your desk: it's just what I did last weekend as I bought a new scrapbook album and filled it with protectors (25, for 50 layouts) as I plan on scrapbook more in the future. You just remind me of the fact that I, too, have scrapbooking-templates somewhere in my closet, I will go look for it! Happy woyww and a big (hot, flashy) hug from Holland, Marit #17

  13. That stash looks good ;) Sorry to hear about the foot, hope something can be done. Can recommend HRT for the hot flushes, I put up with the for two years and then gave in, the HRT was great and sorted me out. Just happy that is now all behind me. Cassidy

  15. So sorry about your foot, foot pain is awful. I now pretty much have it all the time since starting work, and will be going to physio to see if anything can be done. Hopefully surgery will help yours! As far as Aunty Flow goes - she left me a few years ago and I would take hot flashes instead any day! i have a fan permanently sitting right beside my bed, and although I don't have to use it every night as I used to, it does come in handy once in awhile! What a great friend you have! Have fun filling the new album up! Thanks for sharing, have a great week! Lindart #29
