I think I finished my colour wheel free-form embroidery last Sunday.
That makes 28 days/4 weeks worth or creativeness with colour.
My husband has cut a couple of MDF circles for me to stretch and mount it but I haven't dared take it off the hoop yet.
As we have been having some lovely sunny days I have decamped with my next embroidery project to the conservatory. The natural light is better in there so all my bits are in a basket.
If you wish to see the whole picture and backstory, pop along to my
Many Moons Ago previous post.
And to add to my love of colour, some new socks. I have such wide feet that buying shoes is a nightmare, if near impossible so I buy lots of socks instead!
FAB projects, loving the idea of a freeform colour wheel

I am totally in awe do your embroidery colour wheel you need to market that as a kit it would sell like wildfire, I have been making sock bunnies so your little pile of baby socks made me smile! Dxxx #17
ReplyDeleteIf that was your first free style embroidery, then I can't wait to see what you come up with next. I've seen people using their hoops to display their embroidery by adding padding below, trimming off the excess fabric, cutting a piece of MDF smaller than the inner hoop and pushing it inside from the back tucking in the fabric and trapping the padding ready for hanging. It depends whether you want to buy a new hoop or not. Sarah #4
ReplyDeleteYour finished piece is looking beautiful and I guess you could always leave it on the hoop and display it that way. I popped over and looked at your Victorian embroideries - they really are gorgeous and I love the picnic scene, I'll be looking forward to seeing it progress over the coming weeks.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,

Your embroidery is stunning BJ! I would never have that much patience, so I admire it even more! Love your fun socks. If I could avoid wearing shoes I would! Hiking boots and trainers for me - anything else is unbearably uncomfortable! Except sandals in the summer. Have a good week! zsuzsa #22
