My desk on this horrid rainy day, thank goodness for my SAD light!
My scrapping has taken a back burner somewhat.
However I did make this tag for a SWAP on the theme of "Faces"
In return I received this quite delightful take on the theme.
My embroidery has certainly evolved over the week which can be seen day by day on my previous post of my weekly check-in. My thumb has been aching from all the work.
Hi BJ, your embroidery is amazing! I'm not surprised your thumb is aching. Hazel Blomkamp, in her book 'Hand Stitched Crazy Patchwork' advises that we put a dot of super glue on the tip of the finger, hold the finger in the air for a few minutes to let it dry. It will be rock hard then and that should prevent the needle from doing more damage. She says it peels off in a few hours. She also says to "ignore the neurotics who predict dire health problems, They're wrong. I've used it for years and I'm fine." I haven't tried it yet because I use a thimble. I've just received the A-Z of Embroidery Stitches today so I should be able to learn a lot of new stitches now. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #30
PS: yes, it was food poisoning caused by the mushrooms - bought from a local supermarket. Needless to say, I will never, ever, eat another mushroom again!
Hi BJ. That embroidery is stunning - well done. The tag is fun - and yes, an unusual take on the theme you received there - but gorgeous. Take care. God bless. Margaret #6
Your embroidery is stunning - I love the arrangement of the colours and there is so much to keep looking at in it. The paper wreath is lovely, I'm trying to figure out if it's one die or several die cuts put together, but however it's done it is fabulous! Hope you have a good week, Diana x #19
Oh my, your embroidery is GORGEOUS!! How long has it taken you to get that far and do you have much more to do? Love the design and the colours :-D Hugs, LLJ 3 xxx
Your embroidery is amazing! I never thought embroidery could be so creative - there's so much to look at in that piece! It was dark and rainy here too earlier too but now it's blue skies and sunshine! I went for a walk in the rain, cause I couldn't wait to get out and get some fresh air! Hope you have a good week! zsuzsa #22
