WOYWW #401 - Got the Love

Morning deskers, left my desk in a mess yesterday just so I could take this shot today.

Been preparing a "few" hearts for a threading activity in preschool tomorrow.

32 heart diecuts, thank you Mr Cuttlebug with 12 holes each, that's a whole lot of holes 384 in all. Horrah for Mr Crop-O-Dile II.

Last Saturday I managed to get out to a craft sale and got a few bargains.

Great to get a new scrapbook album for a fiver as I'm going to need it.

I got some more refills for my 8x8 family album and when I came to add them found I was a bit behind with my scrapping in there!

Hence the page for the Christmas BEFORE last and last years only family photo.

I then had a eureka moment and placed one of the refills at the beginning of the album and did a wedding page (album had started with our son's birth) The backing page has some photos of my pregnancy (not a fun time).

Whilst we are on the reproductive system topic. I'm back in Norethisterone to stop the "Never Ending Period" which seems my lot for this preimenopausal stage at the moment. I've been dealing with that as well as the cold virus which is still lingering.... However I'm feeling a lot better in myself and can go out now (without the flooding) and actually played badminton last night as a result.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

  2. Hi BJ. Trusting the meds really help!! I know what all that means, as I was in the same position over 20years ago! Horrid!!! Enjoy feeling better. Good finds at the craft event - don't those papers all look lovely spread out like that? Great scrap book pages as well. A really creative time for you.
    Take care. God bless.

  4. Happy WOYWW. I used to love doing threading on card - definitely something to plan for a crafty session with my granddaughter. Your LOs are fabulous. I am so behind with scrapping, that I hardly started! I did do some digital LOs last year, but my big plan to do 2 albums never materialised. Hope your meds continue to help. I am the opposite currently, with very long gaps between periods (7 weeks so far) - but super-emotional like a period is coming any day. Isn't it fun being a woman?! My cold is slowly going, but I am still feeling rough in the evening and first thing in the morning. Ali x #29

  5. I'm so made up for you that you are encouraging stitching at school. I made up a load of card shapes for my local primary school once. With regards to your flooding, have you tried yarrow, nettle, rosehip or raspberry leaf tea? I am not in the perimenopausal stage but have suffered heavy periods since the get go and every couple of years I experience flooding. I found the above teas to be helpful. Likewise, I found eating chilies, ginger and turmeric to be a bad idea because they all provide better blood flow to the pelvis, which is not needed. I hope the cold shifts soon. All the best, EmbroidRage #8 x

  10. Having been a pre-school teacher for 32 years, I know all about prepping for Valentines Day! I never used a die cut though, but the Cropodile would have come in handy! Sorry about your "lady" problems, I went through something like that during my pre-m time, but yours seems to be even more disruptive. Your scrapbook pages are lovely, especially the wedding page! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #45

  21. Hi BJ! Lovely layouts and family photos! I hate this perimenopausal period too - as if we haven't suffered enough already during our childbearing years! Hope you'll find a solution. The mini pill (progesterone only) worked for me, but I know it may not be suitable for everyone. Thanks for visiting earlier! Enjoy the rest of the week! zsuzsa #30

  24. Oh that is a lot of holes. And then all the *%#^* confetti from the punching...I find it ends up absolutely everywhere...in particular there's always at least one piece in my bra! I'm sure it was worth it though, I bet the pre-schoolers loved doing their lace hearts, great idea.
