About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #384 - Pushed Myself!

I seem to have the energy of a gnat these days. Do anything energetic (like going up stairs) and my pulse goes whoosh. I feel like I have a mild flu but really I think it is the hormonal battle raging within.

I did sort of manage badminton last night but I had to take the box anyway. Thought it would either make or break me. I didn't play as many games as usual and didn't play two is a row either and after an energetic rally I got mildly dizzy, but I'm still here to tell the tale.

Anyway I forced myself to at least stick down a LO before even attempting a blog post. Also to sit by my SAD light for at least an hour hoping this dark cloud would lift. Probably need to do this EVERY day.

Well I did said LO and then went on the do a second. I sorted my brick wall of the cycling photos by deciding NOT to bother scrapping them at all which was a great decision. After all I have never scrapped any badminton photos of me, why should my DH get all the glory!

So there we have it, 2 pages with a sort of railway theme.

One where we went geocaching down some local footpaths we would never have known were there, which took us over the railway.

The second of seeing the Flying Scotsman Locomotive from the bridge at Preschool after a meeting. Best attended preschool social outing to date they said (it was my first - LOL)
Hope this WOYWW finds you well fellow deskers.

No energy yet you still managed to create multiple layouts! I don't think you're doing too bad at all. x

Happy WOYWW. Great LOs. I would love to see the Flying Scotsman. Energy - I do not have enough either. Who knows whether it is my Fibro/CFS or the fact I am in Perimenopause? All I know is that I want to be more busy than I can cope with. Ali x #10

sorry you've been under the weather - it has been distinctly gloomy and autumnal this week so I hope your SAD light continues to help you. Great LO's though, keep going!! Helen #1

My excuse for lack of energy is age, today it is the dentist. Like how you set up the photos. Oh go on, do it, make something with the cycling. It is so much fun when you are "aged to imperfection" to look back at the era of activity

not good to be feeling bad…I have first had knowledge of that! I hope it is all better soon. Love the layouts! Is the flying Scotsman the one that run up to Inverness from London? I took a train years ago, an overnighter, and had a blast. I need to find those photos and scrapbook them! Little late getting by today due to dr appointments. Hope you have a great week. Vickie #2

Hi BJ, hope you are feeling a bit better now - I hope you don't mind me saying, but when I had problems very similar to your recent ones I discovered months later I was very anaemic due to the prolonged loss of blood - I had a racing pulse on and off, dizziness and exhaustion, could barely walk upstairs. I was intolerant to iron tablets so had to have iron by IV every two weeks but couldn't believe the difference it made. You might want to check it out if you haven't already - just a thought!
I love the layout, I bet the Flying Scotsman was a fabulous sight to see.
Hope you have good week and start feeling better,
Hugs, Diana x #20

Sorry for being so late this week. For not feeling well, you seem to get a lot accomplished. Hope you are feeling better soon. I love the paper pierced umbrella on the top layout. And I love, love, love your train photos. The title is gorgeous and accents them so well. Hugs, LisaDV#26
