It's mini beast week at preschool and I am knee high in ladybird preparation for tomorrow's session.
Here's the ladybird, I'll be adding the antennae at preschool as I don't have any craft matchsticks at home.
I'm also covering on Friday so will be doing spiders' webs then. Here's the spider on their web.
I made a job lot of pom-poms for the spiders and lined up they look like a millipede!
Amazingly enough amongst the mayhem I made my SWAP card on the theme of "Sunshine". I based it on a tag I'd received many moons ago.
I made a 60th card for my husband too but ......
Talking of Moons.
Here's my photo of the Strawberry Full Moon taken on our Summer Solstice (20th June 2016).
This hasn't happened since 1947 and won't again coincide until 2062, a rare occasion.
Happy WOYWW everyone, and especially to those who always comment on my blog but to which I am unable to respond due to the Google+ malarkey. If only you had an email I could write back on, that would help.
Oh, those insects for Pre School are fun! I love ideas that are simple yet effective, the ladybird is brilliant :-D
ReplyDeleteYou're the only person to question the 21m! Lol! Each drawstring bag needs 3m of cord and I made seven bags. I can always go back to my local shop if I need more!
Hugs, LLJ xxxx
Gorgeous bugs esp the ladybird. Great use of the pompoms for the centipede too - what fun you must have had. Have a happy WOYWW x Jackie 22
ReplyDeleteI bet the kids are going to have fun making those bugs - I love the ladybird, but aren't so keen on the spider - he looks a bit too real, I think it's those long spidery legs!!
ReplyDeleteI love the swap card - the little seedheads around the edge are delightful.
Hope you have a lovely week,

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love all your bugs ... lucky kids. Lovely tag and always good to take an idea and stretch it out for other uses. Have a lovely week.

Hi BJ, what an awesome batch of bugs! Kiddies will be very happy making those. Would have loved to go to Stonehenge for the Solstice this year especially, but having done it before, and knowing how far the walk is from the parking, I'd never have done it. I know they run a land train, but there can still be a lot of hiking involved! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #7 xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm not normally keen on bugs, but yours are so cute! The children will love them!
ReplyDeleteThe sunshine card is lovely too.
I'm on Google+, so if you have trouble commenting, you could use the contact/message thingy in the sidebar.....

Your insects are amazing, BJ. I especially love the millipede. I made pom pom spiders with a class of 6 year olds a few years ago and we had them all hanging from the ceiling.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week

Loving the insects. This is another late visit for me today as we've been to the Lincolnshire agricultural show. Happy woyww, Angela x 21
ReplyDeleteHow did you get such a great picture of the moon. I took a picture of what I believe was a full moon and it gets lost.
