Not much up on my desk this morning.
Just the double scrapbook layout which is pending and has been for a few days now.
It's of my son before his first driving lesson and then out with me on Christmas Day in Asda car park.
My sunflower has grown a bit though, got its own little water cycle going on there. I blogged its latest developments here.
Wish I had more to share for this week but sadly no.
Happy WOYWW to all and sorry I am unable to reply to Google+ comments.

Sunflower CD - Part 2
I'm Coming Out - Diana Ross
Day 9 -
Yes the sunflower is making its appearance above the soil, it's coming out!
Days 11 and 12 - Hello Sunflower seedling.
I did take the masking tape off and opened the case to uncurl the leaves and move the soil a bit.
I was amazed to see all the roots at the bottom of the soil too.
Really enjoying this process.

WOYWW #359 - Kindness
Horrah fourth week in a row showing my desk off at WOYWW, whatever next?
Needed to do a bit of crafting to show this week so set to Tuesday evening.
Here's my desk with my new smartphone. I'm taking photos with that, my tablet AND my camera and getting into a right pickle!
This was the downstairs desk shortly after it arrived last week.
Then when my new word dies came.
And then when I got my spray booth (pizza box) out to do my first journal page in AGES!
Of course then I HAD to sort my ink pads and applicator sponges.
The journal page is using the hand prayer I did in church a couple of weeks ago. We had to draw around our hand and write what we thought of KINDNESS and then we prayed about it.
I did some Dylusion sprays for the background and a bit of stenciling (tidied that box too) and stuck on the glitter items I'd die cut last week as they were STILL on my desk.
I made some cards too.
Not to mention the SWAP card I made earlier in the week
and the planting......
Mr Grasshead and
CD Sunflower.
Well I think that is me for this week.
Happy WOYWW everyone...
...and I'm sorry that as I still haven't got Google+ I therefore cannot reply to some comments, although I do visit your pages.

Sunflower CD - Part 1
Well my Sunflower Seed in a CD case is growing nicely.
Day 1 - Thursday - Planted and Watered
Day 3 - Saturday - Germinated
(I now know the pointy end is where the action is!)
Day 4 - Sunday - Bit Bigger -
(Bit of Geotaxis going on there)
Day 6 - Tuesday - You can even see its first leaves tucked inside the seed case. Sometimes they come up with the seed case still on them, I wonder if this one will do that.
So pleased I found this on the web it is great to watch.

Paris in Springtime
This month's SWAP theme on UKPC is Paris in Springtime.
All I could think of was "Baroque" and found a paper which fitted my idea, also a few stamps and a die of the Eiffel Tower.
My colour theme was dusky pinks and mellow browns.
I added some lace, a flower, a feather and some hessian braid.
I made the card up over a week ago but it just needed something...
I'd ordered some new word dies and when I tried them out, one fitted just right.
Another card I didn't want to part with! Hope you like it Elizabeth.

Misspent Childhood
Gosh it seems that I had a misspent childhood as I never did either of these.
I didn't even do them with my own child!
Better late than never (and thanks to job in a preschool), I have liked a few Facebook pages on teaching 2 and 3 year olds and various projects pop up and I just HAD to have a go at these.
First, planting a seed in a CD case.
This way you'll be able to see what goes on below the soil.
I used a sunflower seed and only planted it Thursday afternoon and found it had germinated this morning Saturday!
I managed to find an old stocking to use and fortunately we had some grass seed already.
I used a pint glass to put the stocking over to pour in the seed followed by the soil.
When you get to the required size you tie a knot in the stocking making sure you leave a long end which is used as the watering mechanism.
I pulled out the nose and secured it with an elastic band and glued the googly eyes and mouth on.
I covered an old mayonnaise jar with paper to finish off. I even found a tie in my craft stash.

You really need to squish the soil down and soon the glass became too narrow.

WOYWW #358 - More Bird Dies!
So as not to disappoint I have actually been CRAFTING - yes pick yourself up off the floor.
To be honest I succumbed to yet another magazine with yet another freebie bird die!
A Flamingo which you can change into a Swan - how cool is that?
Here's the sheet of all my bird dies, and I also got some glitter paper at the supermarket and cut more birds out
Only made up two cards so far.
I have also been scrapping.
Bit of a spelling mistake
and my son's birthday.
Check the links for more detail!
Happy WOYWW everyone

Star Wars 17
My son turned 17yrs last December.
His Dad took him and a few friends to see Star Wars
(I still haven't seen it but I believe it is out on DVD soon)
They had a McDonalds and came home to play on the PCs.
I cooked one of his favourite dinners, cottage pie before they had cake.
He's learning to drive now...........Scary

Chrits Mass
I'd forgotten to show this page for last week's WOYWW despite having made it before then. It had even been hanging on my picture frame since and I STILL didn't notice the spelling boo boo.
I posted the page on my craft group and one member kindly asked me if the spelling was done on purpose!!!
Errrr NO!
Spent a fare while rectifying the mistake.
I had to prise the two letters off which wasn't easy as I had stuck them on with wet glue!
It took loads of gentle scraping with my fingernails and I was glad the backing paper was slightly speckled with whiter anyways.
Then I had to find the same paper to cut two new letters out of which ended up being a search of my recycling box!
It was an accident waiting to happen as is the case when dealing with individual letters.
Never mind, glad it was spotted! Thanks Karen!
As for the photos - the Tiffany lamp was from my Mother for Christmas, we'd always wanted one, love it. The lit up house was spotted by a badminton friend and we were stunned when we found it.
Magical!

WOYWW #357 - Nada!
Yep absolutely NOTHING!
I don't think you can count the pile of A4 paper collected after my son covered my room in it for April Fool's Day.
Nor my new glasses ordered last Wednesday on-line and arrived the following day. They are a duplicate pair but I was still blown away with the service from the supplier.
Well I was tasked to join in WOYWW for a 3rd week in a row and I have. Best go do some crafting so I have something to show next week!
