I had made the mistake of visiting a neighbours show garden on Saturday afternoon. The sun was far too much for me and made me quite ill.
On my desk is my daily scripture writing journal. I use a double spread for each month and paste in lots of printables to get it going. Also there is the New Testament schedule that our church is reading together this year and the last journal page from Encounters.
I've been struggling with life this week yet again (plus the heat!) probably as it is the anniversary of my Dad's passing on Thursday - 28years ago but still the grief affects me.I did enjoy the chain page in Encounters last Wednesday. It doesn't look much but the process was really relaxing.
Casey Turner's offering was brill, I love her process loads but struggled with my name so put Child of God instead.I have since found out that...Billy > can mean Strong-Willed Guardian or Shielded by a Higher Power. Jane > God is Gracious and Yahweh is Merciful.
I lost the plot Friday after playing Badminton Thursday evening so sat all day embroidering and watching Scott & Bailey on ITV X. The living line has grown as a result.Saturday I tried to make sense of Friday's and Saturdays Encounters lessons but struggled with "seeking with all my heart" and "dreams" so just did happy colours and the stencil baby wipe thing and found the 2 words in my stash plus some previously watercoloured hearts.
I also received my first ever Ebay order.
I got a selection of napkins - well pleased.
Lots of florals and birds and various other animals and lots of patterns besides. Great to have some different images to draw from.
Happy WOYWW Everyone.
Sorry the week has been a tough one for you again, and the weather is only going to get worse for you... An impressive selection of pages though and lots of embroidery to boot! Take care and happy WOYWW Helen #1
ReplyDeleteI understand that I'm not a lover of the sun but luckily for me my friends know this and always put me in a shelted spot. I do hope you're feeling better soon. I absolutely adore the chain page it's given me lots of idea too. I managed to escape from the cabin but right now it looks worse than before even though I have given more stuff away! Happy woyww, Angela x8x
ReplyDeleteI share your dislike of the sun, it’s not been as bad over here in Wales but I’ve been wearing sunglasses a lot as everything is very bright after the op! You’ve been so productive and the living line is growing beautifully.

Sad to hear you aren't coping well with the heat but it doesn't seem to have stopped your creativity!!
ReplyDeleteNot posting this week, just back from Wales and had to be up and out early this morning - nothing to show!! Have a good week, love n hugs Cindyxx
Sorry to hear you've had such a rubbish week, BJ., Being prone to heatstroke, I can empathise with not coping with the heat. Hope the fan is helping though. I do like your embroidered 'living line'. Once I get my act fully together I'd like to try making one too, Hope the coming week is cooler for you and happy WOYWW. Elizabeth xx #10
ReplyDeleteAw poor you, I wish you could enjoy some of the sunshine and heat, but I do get it, it is hard for many people isn’t it. I don’t want to be trite or indeed rude, but I think ‘seeking with all my heart’ and ‘dreams’ are the sort of prompts that come from younger people…I’ve done my seeking, I think, and tbh, I don’t have those sort of ‘dreams’, I think I’m living my best life! Loved your alternative pages, they are very thoughtful. Congrats on holding out so long against eBay purchasing…I’m glad it went well, it can be a useful resource I must say…if you fancy some more browsing, there’s an eBay shop called stamp box Ltd…….
ReplyDeleteGreat pages and a lovely set napkins. I picked up 2 packets yesterday from a garden centre, one was daisies and the other dahlias I think. Take care. Angela #14
ReplyDeleteYour scripture writing journal pages are all beautiful, but my absolute favorite one is the Child of God spread. My second grandson's name is William, but they call him Billy, so I was glad to learn what it means. Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you’ve had a difficult week. You’ve used your time well with all your crafty fun.

Hi BJ, I hadn’t really registered your Living line project. Could I ask what you sew it onto, please, and whether there’s any issue with fraying? Thanks Lynne Lmcollis@icloud(dot)com
