WOYWW #888 - Encounters In Colour

Oh my life struggling with STUFF! Can't even seem to position my photos on my blog! Aarrhh!!

Yay done it, having deleted all and closed it down and started again.

Jut one of those days methinks (Tuesday evening).

On desk in the 2nd of my pages for Encounters in Colour my latest on-line art journaling course.

We started with a warm up session on affirmation cards.

The first 2 days pages are here.....

and here.......

Struggling with finding a word for mine but enjoying the art work.

Earlier in the week I made a 40th card using a die I got at the scrap store.

Along with lots of other goodies.

All for a tenner.

My living line continues to grow too.

Oh and I did the June page in my journal as well.

I think the choppy waves explain how I'm feeling right now.

Praying for some peace in this troubled sea.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

WOYWW #887 - Slow Stitching

Here's my desk on Monday with thanks to our Julia for mentioning the WI article on Slow Stitching where I found this delightful little Patchwork Heart.

Of course I just HAD to make one. How cute is that? It's a gift for friend who has just had an operation.

My re-found joy of stitching can mainly be down to the fact that my fingers/hands don't go numb at the slightest thing anymore thanks to my Carpal Tunnel Operations.

It's 6 months since my left one was done and it's more or less back to normal (Can't really put my weight on it fully yet though but getting there).

The rest of the week has been sewing too. First I finished off the Stitcher's Pocket Companion. I blogged it here in detail.

Kept opening it and closing it as it made me so happy.

After this was a further Zen project of a Treasure Pouch. I had  go at the worm stitch again which I'd learnt at the last Zen.

It started as a 7" square of fabric and ended up being a  2 1/2" square pouch with 7 pockets.

And finally the Zen Living Line which will probably be a forever project to pick up as and when I need to ponder.

It was demonstrated as lines and dots. Mine did start this way but soon I was adding all the flower colours in my garden.

I have put together all the things I need to stitch wherever I am in the bag I got for Mother's Day at church.

And yes I even had to embroider the flowers on the bag! It would have been rude not to. I guess if anything stays still too long I'll just embroider it!

I was using up just thread scraps but needed to replenish the colours after all the stitching!

I made a little needle cushion which is attached to a hairspray top with an old hair band for all the thread ends which I save for journaling pages.

This is where it's up to Tuesday evening.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.
