About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog.I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary, plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #873 - Watercolour Painting

I treated myself to a little 12cmx12cm watercolour sketchbook, which I'd seen on the 7 day art journey I did last week.

Plus some metallic threads and some eclipse glasses for the solar eclipse expected in August!

I christened the little book with a repeat of my day 1 page which I really liked, then some of my houses and a couple of pages copying some watercolours I'd saved as I liked them too.

Here are the last 2 pieces from last week's course.

I did a journal page last week too but not really taken by it myself. Did use my new stencils though, they are cool.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

An uncharacteristically brief post from you but still jammed with lovely goodies. The house, of course, make me smile, love them, and the florals too. Just beautiful. I assume your hand is healed, or nearly? If you, great news! Happy mad-dash WOYWW!

So lovely to see watercolours out and being used, I should really do the same! I liked the florals but the winner for me was the bird silhouette against the sunset sky, really effective!

Such lovely pieces on display. I seem to have missed that 7 day course, who was it with? Mind you I have been suffering so much that my art work has been patchy. I had a very sad email from Casey yesterday. Her mother has dementia and for the first time didn’t know her when she visited. I pray to God often that neither I nor Dennis will go through that.
