About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog.I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary, plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #871 - Craft Corner

My desk with a journal page, trimmer and pending last photos for August.

Sort of gave up on the BB Bash and joined a Calm Retreat but my head isn't in that either really.

I did some doodling/mark making on a strip of book page scraps (the page edges with no writing) so a bit of both courses.

Although the journal page is from the Calm session by Casey Turner , it was from her that I heard of the Calm Retreat anyways. I love her style.

At least now I have a HOPE page in my main journal as the others were in my Advent journal.

The latest scrap page was one of those which really "worked" I cut a patterned paper in half popped a dotted paper in the middle, made the photos run like a film strip and emanated the paper's colours with additional flowers.

Not at my best again tummywise - oh man

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

I agree that layout method worked great. And a great way to make a single sheet of great paper stretch across a two-page spread. Live the snippet roll too - it would make a fab closure for a journal - I fancy doing similar with scraps of fabric for a sturdier wrap for a journal. Glad you have "hope!" :D Happy pre-Knitting WOYWW!

Those journal pages are brilliant, clever you for making the paper stretch further, I wouldn’t have know what you did! The very long book (2nd pic) is brilliant, I had to zoom into that for a closer look, so effective!

I have popped over to the BB Bash a couple of times and like what everyone's been doing but I wasn't very well when it started so didn't get into it. I have done some other stuff though. I like what you've done on the book page scraps and waiting to see what you use it for. Happy woyww, Angela x8x

I do like your strip. I watched Casey’s session too. I only watched the first one. Of the BB Bash. I have got a bit behind with coping with the pain. Hugs Angela. #12

I really love your craft corner page. All my frogs are just filled with stuffing as they are to be given to little ones (and I didn’t have anything to fill them with to make them into bean bags lol ).

Love that double scrap spread BJ. Hope you are feeling better soon. Not at Mum's as I have a rotten cold and didn't want to inflict it on her. Making quick visits between samples. Stay safe and happy belated WOYWW. Sarah

I sort of gave up on the BB Bash too... I must not join all these things when I know I have a huge to do list. Love the doodle strip and your other pages... I was commenting last night (I knew I was late but better late than never!!) but then we had a 9 hour power outage so I stopped! And today its going to be 37 degrees! Happy WOYWW! Susan #15
