I think the embroidery has taken centre stage this week.It certainly has evolved and I have a vague plan now - the colour wheel!

I stamped the dragonflies before filling them in with stitches. Who knew stamping would transfer to embroidery?
The spirals are being done with purple metallic thread so are taking an age...
Also I have moved the lounge round so we sit on the opposite sides of the sofas and having moved my harp have actually played it this week. Must have been months since I did last.
Planted a few plants in the garden too.
Spring is definitely in the air round here.

Such pretty embroidery, and your area with the pretty lamp and harp so reminds me of a dear friend from the town I raised my sons. I am envious of your lovely planting fun. Seemed Spring was arriving, but 8 inches of heavy snow came Sunday, but the good news is a warm up and today was NO WIND, and it was lovely out. Thanks for the fun post and have a great week. #4
Firstly I think your embroidery is beautiful, I love your stitch work and the colours you've chosen.
Now if my settees where the same size I'd move ours round as that is a great idea. We've been sat in the same places for 20 years. It's no wonder they don't resemble a seesaw with all the weight being on one end haha

Lovely embroidery... and the colours in the flower bed are beautiful! As for the harp... I am green with envy here - not that I could own such a gorgeous instrument in my tiny house lol (and I can't play either).

Your embroidery is beautiful, how you have patience to do that spiral I don't know, bet it looks lovely when it is finished.
Didn't know you played the harp - WOW! Do you play professionally? I can imagine you sat at a wedding playing your harp. Am so impressed!

Wow, the embroidery has sure transformed since last week! It's stunning and makes we want to take it back up! Thank you for sharing your garden. We are still in the throws of winter. We got lucky and the blizzard that struck the east missed us. The garden is covered in a few inches of snow so it will be awhile before seeing any flowers here. Diane #15

Your embroidery is so pretty, and I love the colours - very Spring like. I love the metallic embroidery threads but find them hard to work with - they often have a mind of their own! I'm glad to be getting back into the swing of things and I'm sure your suggestion of a light box helped me a lot - I'm sure it speeded up recovery - thank you for that!

It is amazing what a move around can do in terms of enabling the best use of space and the stuff occupying the space.. . I'm intrigued that you sit apart rather than together!... love your doodling embroidery and the colour wheel idea will be stunning when portrayed, dxxx 13 ...
No sign of spring here yet - definitely nothing growing in the garden yet (not even weeds!). The embroidery looks wonderful. I love the dragonflies.

Oh it's looking fab BJ, I love the idea you've hit on for the colour wheel, it will look wonderful. I did some stamping and then embroidered it some years ago for a workshop, funnily enough a big old dragonfly with lots of good outline and swirly patterns in the wings so that's we could experiment with lads of stitches and textures. Love the thought that a slight shift in furniture has freed your musical mojo too, how lovely.

Beautiful embroidery...been a long time since I have tried to do any myself. I think it's neat that you stamped some of your images...never would have thought to do that.
